Inspire the next generation of astronauts

At SentIntoSpace we believe it’s never too early to nurture the passions of future scientists and creatives, which is why we put together our pioneering Classtronauts program.

Engage your pupils with a customisable, affordable and unique project to suit all ages: conduct your very own near-space launch!

Classtronauts

(Primary)

Our team will come to your school and give an excitement-filled morning of workshops and activities, culminating in a near-space launch from your playground.

In front of the camera, we can even put the school logo, a mascot or a photo of your class.

The Flight

(Primary)

While we chase down the balloon in flight, you can follow along on our real-time tracker, watching as photos are beamed back live from the edge of space!

Once it’s landed, we’ll recover the payload and the feature item and the footage will be sent back to the school.

Learning

(Primary)

Great educational projects have a lasting impact. We supply you with lesson plans, presentations and worksheets, using your space launch as a fun focal point to study a range of topics across the KS2 curriculum.

Classtronauts

(Secondary)

Our team will come to your school and give an engaging interactive presentation about the science behind high altitude ballooning.

Practical workshops showcasing the equipment and software we use to conduct our flights culminate in a near space launch right from your school grounds.

Learning

(Secondary)

In advance of launch day, we can send you the payload to construct with your class and design an experiment to conduct on your flight.

Our on-board Black Box data recorder provides you with a wealth of sensor data to analyse and study in the weeks after your launch.

Designs & Plans

(Secondary)

Our friends at Siemens have produced a fully detailed 3D CAD dataset of our launch equipment.

Your pupils can create a 3D model of their payload to plan for the launch, learning to use Siemen’s industry-leading Solid Edge software – available free to all students and secondary schools.

What our customers say

The Sent Into Space team have provided an excellent and inspiring opportunity for the students of The Oldham Academy North to take part in. They got the students in the know, hands on with the kit, and ultimately have generated images, videos, and experiences that will live long in the schools and students memories. Thank you!

What could be more inspiring than 200 kids launching their carefully crafted modules and scientific experiments to the edge of space?

I really want to go into space, I am really inspired and haven’t been able to sleep properly with excitement, can’t wait until after half term to see the full voyage on film.  Hip Hip hooray for Duncombe Bear!
